Geron Corporation to Present at Banc of America Health Care Conference
MENLO PARK, Calif., May 31, 2007 – Geron Corporation (Nasdaq: GERN) today announced that Thomas B. Okarma, Ph.D., M.D., president and chief executive officer, will present an update of the company’s product development programs at 11:20 a.m. PDT on Friday, June 1, 2007, at the Banc of America 2007 Health Care Conference in Las Vegas.
The update will include information about Geron’s portfolio of anti–cancer therapies, including its telomerase inhibitor drug (GRN163L) and its telomerase therapeutic vaccine (GRNVAC1). The presentation will also include a review of the company’s human embryonic stem cell (hESC) development programs for spinal cord injury (GRNOPC1), heart disease (GRNCM1) and diabetes (GRNIC1).
Geron is developing first–in–class biopharmaceuticals for the treatment of cancer and degenerative diseases, including spinal cord injury, heart failure, diabetes and HIV/AIDS.
