Bryan Ridgell

Bryan Ridgell has served as our Senior Vice President, Portfolio and Project Management and Chief of Staff since October 2025.
Background
Bryan is a collaborative and results-driven biotechnology leader with more than two decades of experience managing complex drug development programs from discovery through late-stage clinical execution. A seasoned program and portfolio strategist, he has led global cross-functional teams spanning R&D, regulatory affairs, manufacturing, and clinical operations, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and operational excellence. Before joining Geron, Bryan served as Senior Vice President, Portfolio and Project Management at GlycoMimetics, where he was a member of the Executive Leadership Team and partner to the CEO in driving corporate strategy and portfolio reprioritization to focus available resources toward advancement of key oncology programs. He also led a cross-functional team in the successful design and delivery of a large, global Phase 3 program.
Earlier in his career, Bryan held roles at Rexahn Pharmaceuticals and ICON Clinical Research, where he built and led project management offices, managed global alliances with major pharma partners and oversaw IND and NDA submissions spanning numerous products and therapeutic areas. Bryan earned his MBA from Johns Hopkins University and his Bachelor of Science in Marine and Environmental Chemistry from the Florida Institute of Technology. He also holds a postgraduate certification in International Business from University College, Dublin and maintains an active certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP).
