Responding to your resume
HR and the hiring manager will review your experience and background and compare them to the position for which you applied. Upon review of your resume, if we determine that there is an adequate match between our needs and your qualifications, we will contact you directly to conduct a preliminary phone interview or to set up an interview at Geron. We kindly request that you do not call us regarding the status of your resume submission due to the volume of calls we regularly handle.
Note for Principal Agencies
Principal agencies should not forward resumes to Geron through the contact information below. Geron will not be responsible for any fees arising from the use of resumes through these sources. Geron will only pay a fee to agencies if a formal agreement between Geron and the agency has already been established. To be considered as an approved agency, contact the Human Resources department directly.
Beware of recruiting fraud
Candidates should be aware of recruitment, interview, and job offer scams being perpetrated through the use of the Internet and social media platforms. The scammers frequently misappropriate and use a company’s logo and/or photos of its executives to give the appearance of legitimacy. The scam preys upon those seeking employment and uses false and fraudulent offers of interviews and/or employment to steal from the victims. Geron believes that one of the best ways to put a stop to this scam is to make you aware of it.
Geron does not conduct interviews by text, chat, or email, and job offers are not extended until a number of in-person or video conference interviews are completed. No candidate is ever required to pay money as part of the application or hiring process, nor will we ask you to submit sensitive, personal information (date of birth, banking information, credit card number, social security number, etc.) as part of the interview process. In addition, Geron’s internal recruiting staff sends interview appointments and email communications to candidates from “@geron.com” email accounts only. Any email that purports to be from a Geron staff member but comes from a personal email address such as “@yahoo.com”, “@gmail.com”, or “@hotmail.com” should be assumed to be fraudulent.
If you believe you have been the victim of recruiting fraud, you may wish to file an incident report at http://www.cybercrime.gov, call the FTC at 1-877-FTC-HELP (1-877-382-4357), file a complaint with the FBI at https://ic3.gov, contact the local police to report the fraud, and contact your bank or credit card company to close affected accounts and/or dispute fraudulent charges.
