Medical grants, charitable donations, and sponsorships
Geron supports educational programs and charitable initiatives that are aligned to our mission and help advance medical and scientific knowledge. All funding requests will adhere to Geron’s review and approval process.
Medical education
We provide funding for Continuing Medical Education (CME) and Independent Medical Education (IME) initiatives aimed at improving care and support for people living with myelodysplastic syndromes and myeloproliferative neoplasms/myelofibrosis to our prioritized content areas.
Grant requests
Geron may support grant funding requests that benefit patients, carepartners, and communities within our priority disease and content areas. Funding is available to nonprofit, tax-exempt charitable organizations for education, outreach, and similar charitable purposes. Support for activities and programs not related to charitable donations, medical education, or sponsorship opportunities. These funding opportunities may include (but are not limited to): support of an organization’s mission, professional development, publications, insight generation (eg, unmet needs, burden of disease), resource development, and other nonmedical education initiatives. Geron does not expect to receive any benefit, consideration, or service in return.
Sponsorship requests
Geron may sponsor events and activities hosted by eligible organizations, including patient advocacy and healthcare organizations, that align with our priority disease and content areas. In return for sponsorship support, Geron may receive benefits such as advertising opportunities, exhibit space, event admission, or other forms of recognition or participation.
Business development
Guided by a seasoned leadership team with deep expertise in developing, launching, and commercializing hematology therapies around the world, Geron is focused on building on our leadership in telomerase inhibition to shape the next chapter in hematologic cancers.
As we look to the future, we are interested in strategic partnerships that complement our existing capabilities and portfolio, expand our potential to reach more patients, and bring forward innovative opportunities to address unmet needs in blood cancer and beyond.
Investigator-sponsored research
Independent research plays an important role in advancing scientific knowledge and improving the understanding of hematologic malignancies. Geron’s investigator-sponsored research (ISR) program supports scientifically rigorous, investigator-initiated studies that explore important clinical initiatives aligned with our research priorities.
